Throughout the interview process we’re usually so focused on being the ideal candidate we neglect to do our due diligence on our prospective employers. I don’t mean the basic reconnaissance required for interview preparation. I’m referring to asking the right questions about the corporate culture, and the person you’ll be directly reporting to. If this person is a high-level executive, you may have to pass several rounds of interviews before you meet them face-to-face. While their team is probing to see if you’re a complementary match for their department, you should be asking a few thought-provoking questions of your own.
